Okay, so I am a few days late on this topic, but I have been busting my ass at a conference with about four thousand other bloggers for the past week....
Anyway...
In a tear filled, frog in his throat press-conference, Brett Favre has finally parted ways with the NFL. I say "finally" not because I have wanted or even expected the old man to retire. Rather, I use that word because the "best buddy" to the NFL fan has flirted with the idea of retirement for several years in a row.
He finally did it!
I'll believe it when I see it. I expect full well that he will be back next year in some capacity. It would be the perfect story for him to have ended his career with the Packers, but Packer couch Mike McCarthy has, in not so many words, expressed that it is time to move on to their next dynasty quarterback....Aaron Rogers?!???!
HAHHAHAHHA!!!
Good luck Packer fan. The moldy cheesehead days of Dan Majkowski and the defunct Packers are upon you again.
Sure you have a decent defense, a core of mediocre at best wide recievers, a no-name running back with a chip on his shoulder, and a HIGHLY over rated quarterback....but there is still a chance.
There is always a chance.
Bye bye Favre. You will be sorely missed........until you change your mind and come back to the game.....The Falcons need a QB.....You could finish where you started. How poetic?
