****THE PHOTO'S AREN'T REAL*****
(It's just the "Don't Taze Me Bro" pics with Brandon Backe's head on top)
This story is though...
It is alleged that the Galveston police brutally attacked Brandon Backe and a number of other guests at a Galveston wedding over the weekend.
Not only did the GPD attack Backe upon him merely responding to their demands of the guests to back up, "We've backed up as far as we can, sir!"
but they also held a man's head down with their foot when he was trying to keep them from harming his 8 month pregnant wife.
Way to go Galveston Police Department. Way to go.
I wonder if they asked Brandon to please step "Backe" before they beat him with police brutality.
EFFING CORRUPT COPS!!!
You have no idea, along with the rest of the people getting all of their info from biased witnesses, what you are talking about. Waite for an investigation and both sides. I know them, I was there, I disagree with the wedding party witnesses. I have known several of them for several years and know that they like to get drunk and rowdy. I'm sure that the stress of Ike played a part in the wedding party turning on the cops, but it's no excuse. They injured several Officers, and no one, I mean no one, is above the law. Backe's knuckles were swollen as well, I'm sure the Officer was headbutting them.
ReplyDeleteI will "waite" for an investigation. I'm all for no fighting what so-ever and I am sure that some of them were fighting back. My point is that some officers have a tendency to use force when it wasn't necessary. I wasn't there, so I can only speak from observation of what other parties are saying happened. I DO know from experience and stories from being a god son of an HPD officer that officers are trained to side in the side of error...so if someone seems even just a TINY BIT out of line it is better to be aggressive and nip it in the bud before it escalates. The problem now is that...people have too much pride and things escalate too quickly. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.
