This guy is too busy with his "scrip" clubs and gangsta lifestyle to get his "ish" straight and see how fortunate he really is.
Adam "Pac-Man" Jones alledgedly got into an altercation in the wee hours of Wednesday morning with one of his team appointed chaparones in a public bathroom at a ritzy hotel in Dallas. Both parties are not pressing charges, but the fact that Jones is still having problems is concerning.
Let's take a few moments to get something straight: Adam Jones...an adult...with the nickname of a video game character, the english and grammar skills of a c level second grader, and a history of "making it rain" with copious amounts of cash and violence...is in the news again for being a flat out thug? Is that about right?
What a friggin' suprise!
This is just another piece of evidence that lends itself to my forever backed up theory that "once a thug...always a thug." Honestly though, we all had to see this coming.
A supposed and self-proclaimed "grown-assed man" who has had to have 4 team appointed chaperones to help keep him out of trouble assigned to him at all times and been forced to seek the shelter of a mentor like "Prime Time" Deion Sanders is asking for a lifetime of trouble. I mean DEION?!??! Seriously? "Prime Time" knows less about class than a back-woods hillbilly with a beer in his hand. The least they could have done was give Jones a competent corner back mentor like Darryll Green, Eric Allen or Chris Dishman....wait...strike that last one....but even Aaron Glenn (currently with the team) would have been a better choice, but I digress.
Players like Jones not only give the NFL a bad name, but I am tempted to believe that they give humanity a bad name as well.
It's harsh, but why is it that this happens time and time again. Usually, I will give a player the benefit of the doubt and I did once again with Pac, but just like thugs normally do...Pac fell off.
And the saddest part is, to Pac-Man it will forever be someone else's fault...
One way to look at this is as a minor slip up since noone is facing charges, but a slip-up is a slip-up. Jones was given a chance under the condition that there would be NO slip-ups. He was even assigned that team of "body guards" to keep him out of trouble. He then turned around and made trouble with them.
It's a viscious cycle and I feel very sorry for the Cowboy fans. I'd like to see Jones pick himself out of the dumps, become responsible for his actions, and be a successful NFL corner and contributing member of society....I really would.
But right now, he is doing nothing but digging himself further into the dumps.
So what are you going to do Pac? Continue the life of a waste of space, violence causing, non-respected by society thug or turn the corner and act like someone fans, your team, your family, and kids into the future can respect? For most the choice is easy and comes with staring by doing one thing....GROWING UP.
