Water Displacement Pills? REALLY?!?!?

So the NFL is all hot and bothered against a few players who have tested positive for taking Water displacement pills(more commonly known as diuretics) in order to "lose weight" and remain a little slimmer than they actually are.

Whether it's for speed purposes or anything else...should we really give a damn?

No. We absolutely should not care that these gentlemen are taking these pills.

The "powers that be" state that these pills can be taken to mask the presence of performance enhancing drugs, but in these cases...I HIGHLY DOUBT IT. Duece McAllister is hardly the prototype of a performance enhanced beast. Will Smith's productivity over the past year has dropped, which is hardly reflective of speed or steroids and more reflective of old knees and an aging back.

So what in the hell is the big deal? The folks are taking diuretics to keep their water weight down. Our military does it too. In fact, if these pills are making such a huge difference...why do we not see them more prevalent among the crash dieting world of the common citizen?

I'll tell you why...BECAUSE IT'S NOT A BIG DEAL and the media, NFL, and other people who are making it a big deal are no better than lame Drama Queens who have nothing better to do than accuse athletes of negative things because their lives are so boring.

Congratulations NFL and Media...your life sucks so bad that you have to lambast athletes for taking water weight pills.

I hope with everything in my soul that nothing comes out of this for these athletes. It's just another little move where a league can make up that some type of pill or vitamin is performance enhancing. By this rationale, you know what else is performance enhancing...A MULTIVITAMIN and a SODA.

Get off it you lamers and let the men play.
