Lebron Was SHUT DOWN!!

Last night, the Rockets were called to defend their 5 game win streak and their honor, and they most certainly came through. Powerful performances by Yao Ming and Von Wafer as well as the defensive tandem of Ron Artest and Shane Battier bearing down on Lebron James, assured that the Rockets would kick the Cavaliers to the curb.

The Rockets controlled the game pretty much the entire way through only allowing Cleveland to come within a few points a couple of times and finishing them off by a 19 point differential. The scoreboard read 93-74 as the dejected Lebron walked off the court and the stoicly happy Yao inaudibly answered interview questions from a reporter half his size.

Notably, Artest and Battier teamed up to truly "hold down" James. For the first time in his entire career James was held to an assistless game. He also shot terribly from the field going 7 for 21 and being shut down in the true sense of the word.

For all the "Yao is weak" nay-sayers out there, in the second Quarter, Yao accidentally broke Cav's strongest defender Ben Wallace's leg simply by kicking him with one of his tree trunks. Yao walked away without a limp or a scratch. How's that for weak?!?!?!!?

The Rockets should have a bright future throughout the rest of the NBA season. Finally, Tracy McGrady can feel happy that it is not his fault that things are going wrong. In fact, because he isn't playing...things are going right! So thanks Tracy! It finally feels good to be a Rockets fan again...I haven't felt this way since 1994.

Expect the Houston Rockets to make a strong push for the rest of the season and enter the playoffs with a top 3 seed in the Western Conference. With no McGrady to curse them in the first round, perhaps...PERHAPS...we may see those boys in Red strike fear in the hearts of the rest of the playoff contenders and run their way to the finals.

BLAST OFF!
