Player Spotlight: Rashad Butler

With the sudden suspension of starting Left Tackle Duane Brown, Rashad Butler will get his turn to shine. It's a bit unknown how Butler will do stepping into the role against Demarcus Ware who is one of the best pass rushers in the game, but the coaches have a lot of faith in him.

My guess is that he will give up a sack, but he will do just fine. He has overcome adversity before off the field and he can surely do it again on the field. Tune in Sunday and find out. Here are the details on Butler:

Rashad Butler

- Height: 6-4 Weight: 309 Age: 27
- Born: 2/10/1983 in West Palm Beach , FL
- College: Miami
- Experience: 5 Seasons
- Other Teams: 1 season with the Carolina Panthers, 4 with the Texans
- Draft Status: 2006 - Round 3, Pick 89
- Career Accomplishments & Awards: N/A
- Strength: Quick, smart and a fighter
- Weakness: Has a lack of experience and is a little undersized for his position.
- Trivia & Notes: Butler found out he suffered from Ulcerative Colitis shortly after signing with the Texans. The sister disease of Crohn's, UC makes it difficult to keep on weight, but Butler has been able to fight and keep himself up. On a personal level, I really admire his personal strength to overcome such a challenge. It can be an inspiration to people like me who have also suffered from UC at some point in their lives.
